Summer Time, Farmer's Markets and Seasonal Produce

by Erin Pflueger

farmers-market---copy.jpgWith the beautiful sunny weather we’ve had this past week, it’s time to gear up for summer! The first day of summer is June 21st and is only a few days away. Eating locally and in season becomes so much easier with produce stands and farmers markets.  Check the list of local farmers markets in the Puget Sound Area. Between Auburn, Bellevue, Des Moines, Burien, Renton, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kent, Maple Valley and beyond you can find a farmers' market almost every day of the week to fit into your busy schedule.  Also, for those of you who live in the greater Maple Valley area, Foley’s Produce on Renton/Maple Valley Road SE is another excellent option! Additionally, Full Circle has farm fresh, organic produce boxes that are available for pickup and Pinnacle Medical Wellness is one of the drop-off locations! See Full Circle Farm for more details.
