The American Heart Association suggests incorporating a few new food groups into your diet, as well as consuming some of the meats and fish you already love.

In addition, incorporate fish into your diet twice a week. This is a great way to get a good source of lean protein.

Finally, try to stay away from foods containing trans fats, and limit your intake of saturated fats.
